About Cammitra

We build retail AI that respects the customer's footage.

Cammitra is a self-hosted surveillance product made by AntByte Labs in Kathmandu. We started because the existing options were either too expensive (enterprise platforms priced for chains of 1,000+ stores) or too creepy (cloud platforms that ingest your raw video). Mart owners deserve a third way.

What we actually do

We ship a small Windows agent the store owner installs on a PC that's already on the camera network. The agent reads RTSP streams, runs five concurrent ML models locally (footfall counting, loitering, capacity, suspicious-gesture review signals, after-hours intrusion) and sends a tiny JSON payload to our dashboard. Owners watch live numbers, get WhatsApp + email alerts with short clips, and download weekly PDF reports.

The suspicious-gesture detector is one signal of five, and we treat it as a review signal, never a verdict. AI drafts labels from real flagged events at opt-in pilots, trained reviewers verify every one, and a new model ships only after it passes quality gates on held-out video and a human approves the rollout. What we promise is the pipeline, not a magic number: every alert reaches a human with a short clip, and your team confirms or dismisses in seconds.

What we believe

Video stays on-prem

The agent runs locally on the store's PC. Only JSON metadata reaches our servers. Customers keep full control of their footage; raw streams stay on their hardware.

Built for Nepali shops, first

Loitering thresholds, capacity rules, and alert templates are tuned for mid-size marts, restaurants and clinics here, not retrofitted from a US enterprise spec.

Honest hardware budgets

All five ML pipelines run at sub-50ms on a 4-year-old i5. We benchmark on real shop hardware before shipping, not on a developer's RTX 4090.

WhatsApp-first alerts

Most owners read WhatsApp before email. So WhatsApp gets the alert, the clip, and the resolve button. Email is the backup, not the headline.

AntByte Labs

Built by AntByte Labs

Cammitra is one of several products from AntByte Labs, a small applied-AI team in Kathmandu working on practical computer vision for South Asian businesses. We've been shipping ML to production since 2024 and treat reliability as the feature.

14 days, one camera, no card. If it earns its place after the trial, keep it. If not, the agent uninstalls cleanly.
